The Progressive Star Award

If the Progressive Party admires what your are doing for the greater good in the state of Washington, you may be eligible for the Progressive Star Award.

We will choose an organization we feel deserves our recognition for an award, and send your webmaster notification. You can email us for the logo and link to why you got the award.

The criteria are:

  • A Progressive organization
  • in Washington or the Pacific Northwest
  • whose work is needed
  • Helps people
  • and has some measure of sucess.

Our choices will often be political, such as voting issues, but not always. Neighborhood groups take heart, you are as likely to win as any other group. So, this is what the logo looks like:

Announcing the Ida Tarbell award for excellence in recent history of political importance

Ida Tarbell wrote "A History of the Standard Oil Company", considered by many historians as the only perfect history every written. Her meticulous standards have set the bar vey high for anyone that follows. In that light, we at the Progressive Party of Washington are pleased to announce the first recipient of the Ida Tarbell Award is Bev Harris for her book, Black Box Voting See links for her web page of the same name.
